Stanley the Amazing Knitting Cat - Original illustration number 8

This is a unique opportunity to buy an original watercolour, ink, coloured pencil and crayon illustration made by myself featuring Stanley from my second children's picture book! 'Stanley the Amazing Knitting Cat' was published by Bloomsbury Publishing in January 2016 and won The Children’s Picture Book category, Independent Bookshop Week award 2016.

This drawing was made in the spring of 2015, for my launch party invitation but I didn't use it in the end. This is quite a large colourful drawing of Stanley knitting leaning back against a huge pile of wool.

As with the majority of my drawings, this illustration was drawn on Fabriano 5 white watercolour paper. The piece is 1/4 of a watercolour sheet which I've torn to size - it has 3 rough torn deckled edges and a straight cut edge along the top only and measures 35cm x 25cm. The illustration itself is approximately 32cm x 20cm in size with a Fabriano watermark running up the left edge. This drawing gets very close to the bottom edge almost bleeding off so it might be nice to frame it with the edges exposed.

I've signed the drawing in pencil on the left and will spray with fixative before posting. The inks I use are NOT lightfast but with fixative the illustration will have some good protection against fading, however I recommend that you choose somewhere out of direct sunlight to hang it.

This illustration will be wrapped in a cellophane sleeve and shipped in a hardback envelope. I'll send the illustration tracked special delivery within the UK free of charge. If you are out of the UK I have set the world shipping rate at £5 plus £1 extra per item if you buy more than one. The rest of the cost of international shipping I will cover myself as a thank you for your purchase.

Whilst I will do my best to get any drawings you purchase out to you as soon as possible, if you are overseas I'm afraid I can't make any guarantees that the drawing you've bought will reach you before Christmas as post can often move slower at this time of year. Hopefully the Christmas elves will be speedy and your drawing will be with you as soon as possible!
